Hi everyone,

Last monday my sony vaio (model: VPCEB1S8E), suddenly couldn't open shortcuts and programs etc...

I did manage to restore him to a date 2 days before the problems.

But then i got a BSOD caused by ntoskrnl.exe (minidump).

Then i restored/recovered my c station 2x.

After that i got the same problem, so i did a full system recovery and still got the bleu screen.

Then i did a hardware check through f10 and it found no problems, yesterday i runned memtest86 for 10 cycles and still no problem.

What can i do next i'm really desperate!!

Here are the bosd's

Sorry for my bad English,

Kind regards, Nicolas

Don't worry about the health report for now. We can go with what we have. Your dumps do not give a specific cause; but they indicate memory corruption.

I find an almost guaranteed BSOD maker on your system. Uninstall any CD virtualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%. They use a driver, found in your dmp, sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs. Use this SPTD uninstaller when you're done: DuplexSecure - Downloads. Select uninstall; do NOT select reinstall.

Here is a free alternative CD virtualization program that does not use the sptd.sys driver.
Freeware MagicISO Virtual CD/DVD-ROM(MagicDisc) Overview

Outdated drivers can and do cause memory corruption and BSOD's. I find the following out of date drivers loaded on your system. One is quite obsolete. Update or eliminate these drivers.
ArcSoftKsUFilter.sys Mon May 25 04:27:31 2009 - ArcSoft Magic-i Visual Effect, http://www.arcsoft.com/public/download.asp.Update this driver or uninstall ArcSoft.

btusbflt.sys Tue Jun 09 17:46:26 2009 - Widcomm Bluetooth USB Filter by Broadcom, Broadcom.com - Downloads & Support. Update this driver.

risdsne64.sys Wed Jul 01 00:50:14 2009 - RICOH PCIe SD/MMC Driver. Downloads | Ricoh Global. Update this driver.

SFEP.sys Fri Aug 03 01:35:53 2007 - Sony Firmware Extension Parser driver. Sony eSupport - Electronics - Select Your Model. This driver is way obsolete.Update this driver or uninstall the utility.
How to find drivers -
[FONT=&quot]- I have listed links to most of the drivers in the code box above. Please use the links there to see what info I've found about those drivers.
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.

- - The most common drivers are listed on this page:
Driver Reference
- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page:

Uninstall sptd.sys and take care of the above drivers. Reboot and see how your system does. Let us know and if you get another BSOD, upload it.

Update us and let us know. I also suggest you download Malwarebytes (free), install it, update it, and run a malware scan.

Good job on removing Daemon Tools. I am glad Malwarebytes gave you a clean bill of health. Malwarebytes is a good program. I recommend running it once a week or so. Always update it before you run it.

Let's start with this driver, SFEP.sys. Click on this link: Sony eSupport - Electronics - Select Your Model. You will have to enter the model of your computer. Do a search for SFEP.sys. If there is an update, download the update to your desktop, unzip the folder, and click on the .exe file. If there is no update, that is no update dated July 13, 2009 or later, rename this driver. [FONT=&quot]Using Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers, locate the driver file, and rename it from .sys to .bak. Reboot and the driver will not load. This will break whatever software or hardware this driver is associated with.

Next try to update the ArcSoft driver in the same manner. If there is no update, uninstall ArcSoft. Let me know how you do.
