Hello there! I'm not new to building pc's but im not very tech savy on power output for devices inside the PC. Ok first off the PC i bought is a Access Denied and the items im upgrading inside it is the PSU and the graphics card to Access Denied and the PSU to Amazon.com: PC Power & Cooling Fatal1ty Gaming Series 550 Watt (550W) 80+ Semi-Modular Active PFC Performance Grade ATX PC Power Supply 3 Year Warranty OCZ550FTY: Electronics so my main question is will that PSU power my pc and graphic card with out any trouble? On the gpu it says 500watt needed but its a 550 watt gaming PSU so im not sure.

OCZ Fatal1ty 550 W Review | techPowerUp

Above is the summary page of an 11 page review of that power supply. Not very complimentary.

You could do worse or a lot better.

You certainly don't need more than 550 watts. But you can buy many 550 watt PSUs that are higher quality.

That PSU is made by Sirtec--usually regarded as a budget manufacturer.

It's a AMD Videocard you want to get at least 650 to 750watts of a PSU

Reason i say this if you plan future card upgrades it may need more power AMD cards draw lots of power but i wouldn't say i t would exceed 550watts but you don't want your system barley able to manage either

Bottom line when upgrading your PC parts ect... you want to maximize it to the best of your Budget with smart choices for future usage meaning make it usable for at least a couple years doesn't have to be a lot of money put into it but i would at least run a budget of $300-400 dollars and try to do as many upgrades you can squeeze out

That means maybe a better CPU card and PSU maybe even get a SSD to speed it up you can get all these things within that price margin and at least have a build that will last you a couple years before it really needs to be replaced

IMO you can. t have TOO much power. Especially if you are building/upgrading. You never know what the future holds as far as what you may add.(HHDs,video card(s),etc.
