Solved Brand new build, 1tb drive showing up as 1gb, how to fix?

I built this computer, roughly based off the Ars Technica Hot Rod 2011, except with an i7 instead of an i5. I'm pretty sure that my mobo can handle a 1tb drive. My Seagate Barracuda 7200 1tb drive is only allowing me to format as "100mb" I am running Windows 7 off my solid state. I also have my old Western Digital 500mb drive attached and working just fine. Can anyone help me figure out how to get my Seagate to show up as the proper size?

Start Menu->All Programs->Accessories->Right click Command Prompt->Run as Administrator

Type in diskpart

When it starts, type in list disk and tell me what you see.

Edit: You can post a picture of the command window using the snipping tool
Start Menu->Search programs and files->Type Snipping Tool
Save the file.
Upload using the paperclip in the upper right of the quick reply window

writhziden, Thank you for your help, but I figured it out in a completely different way. Basically, after going through the help menu check list that Windows sent me to directly from the Disk Management tool. It would be nice if the updated their documentation to inform you that it also applies to newer versions of windows. Anyways, this line gave me the clue that I wasn't clicking in the right space. Instead of clicking on the box that says Disk 1, which only gives you the more complicated partitioning options, you have to click on the box to the right, which gives you the one additional option of creating a simple partition. That's just bad interface design. Now I have to figure out how to get rid of this strange E drive that's showing up, and figure out how to get my system to not automatically download and install everything to my C drive. I think I can handle those, though. Of course, I've partitioned and formatted quite a few drives in my time. I didn't think that would be an issue either I'm the very definition of knowing just enough to be able to screw things up entirely.

Yeah, I was going to direct you to disk management after I saw whether it would help. It sometimes depends on what Diskpart shows. Glad you resolved your problem on your own. Good luck with the rest, and feel free to ask questions if you get stuck.
