I set up two brand new computers one Dell and one Toshiba laptop and both computers failed kb2984981, kb2965788 and kb2861208. Is it possible that these updates have been replaced with newer ones? I did factory restore the dell and I still generate these 3 failed updates. Hope to hear from someone! cheers!

What error message did you get? - it's not unusual for a couple of updates to fail on the first attempt, as the system tries to sort out sequencing, and doesn't always get it right. They will usually install OK at the second or third time of asking.

Please follow the Windows Update Posting Instructions and post the requested data

If the file is too large (8MB compressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files until the final file is below the limit - you can always post them separately after zipping them. (the forum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for a number of reasons)
