I found this in Documents and have since just moved it to recycle bin. Anybody know what it is? It's an empty folder. It was created the same day I installed a Brother Printer, could that be what put it there? All Scans Are Clean. Win NIS 2011, MBAM, and SAS.

Noticing that it was created on the same day you installed the Brothers programming (did you check the time?) is an astute observation.

Breaking it down; BrFaxRx = Brother Fax Rx, the Rx I am unsure of, but could mean help, or script.

If your new printer is a 4in1 (print, scan, copy, fax) it is probably used as a temp folder while faxes are being processed. If only a 3in1 it just came along for the ride.
I do not see Brother creating a separate installation CD to cover the difference in the two designs.

Do not be surprised the next time you start your printer the Folder is recreated.

It jogged my memory after seeing Golden's reply that I had seen RX used as an abbreviation for receive.

In an act of serendipity I installed a HP Photosmart Plus B210a 3in1 yesterday. I checked the installed files and found no HPFaxRx Folder.
I would not mind being wrong if Brother did burn separate CD's for the 4in1's. It would show an act of professionalism on their part.
