What do mean by freeze exactly? Some people use the term differently. I don't think any of those should crash or become unresponsive during normal use. We might be able help you fix the issue, then you can use which ever of the three you prefer.

Do you have a lot of add-ons or plug-ins for any of them?

What netbook do you have? I'd like to look at the specs of it. Depending on your RAM and CPU, occasional hang-ups might be expected.

Your RAM is way to low. Microsoft recommends 1GB for win7 but starter will run fine on 512MB (0.5GB). With that little RAM even a web breowser by it self will cause the system to lag. DDR2 laptop RAM isn't very expensive and you can buy at stores like bestbuy or radio shack.

Most likely you need DDR2 memory, which is dirt cheap... ;)

According to this MS page: Memory Limits for Windows Releases (Windows) you can have 2 GB. Scroll down to:
"Physical Memory Limits: Windows 7 " - Starter

I've been using IE8 with 1GB RAM on Vista ever since it came out. (My Windows 7 computer came with 2 GB RAM.) If it works with 1GB on Vista it should also on 7. Make sure you get all the necessary Windows Updates.

Roncerr, according to his computers manufacturer, he can only run 1GB. It doesn't matter what the software can support if the hardware can't support it as well.

I said it should work with 1 GB; and that I'm using 1 GB on Vista. (I merely mentioned that my new computer came with 2 GB which happens to be running Win 7.) But IE8 it works fine with 1 GB. So he should upgrade from .5 to 1 GB.
