Checks for browser vulnerabilites. You can do a quick scan directly from the page, or a more in depth check if you download and use the plugin. Must be run from each browser that you use. IE 64-bit not supported.

Particularly interested if you also use Secunia's PSI or similar, and how their outputs compare.

Apreantly it says 2 security issues, that i don't have adobe flash player and adobe shockwave updated . Thanks for this thread and I didn't know about this plugin,using it in firefox.

Do not download the beta version but rather the normal version.

I use PSI too, as well as Belarc. I'm aware that PSI is more comprehensive, as Qualys is focused on browser security only. I'm just wondering if anyone has ever noticed Qualys identifying something that PSI didn't.

I noticed this month that Belarc was days late, PSI had most patches but one was at least a day late, Qualys was on the money.

Like any other piece of software, Web browser code can and does contain vulnerabilities. Cybercriminals like vulnerabilities. They’re the soft underbelly of any application.

I know five Web sites that are committed to keeping browsers free of vulnerabilities. These Web sites evaluate browsers for weaknesses and determine how freely private information is to be had. On top of that, all but one offer advice on how to make the tested Web browser secure.

seems i'm ok I believe although it doesn't recognize some but I know the battlefield one is for a game client that use the browser. The other ones idk what they are for.

PSI has an inconsistency. In the main program section it says both IE9 and Opera are OK but in the browser section it flags both as being insecure (not the plugins the browsers themselves).

The main program is looking for missing updates. There are no updates, so there are no updates missing, so it says they are ok.

The secure browsing section lists if there are browser insecurities. Both browsers have insecurities, but the publisher has no fix for them, so they remain insecure.

It is 2 different things, but can be confusing. Both are right for the criteria they are looking for. A Guy
