Browsers freeze taskbar :(

Hey there

I'm using win7 64bit and everytime I use a browser like Opera or Chrome or something the taskbar becomes completely unresponsive until I close the browser. I don't think this has always been happening though, because like I've had 64bit installed for about a week now and only noticed this now. So yeah if there's anyway to fix this without a reinstall I would really like to know it

The only thing I've installed lately were 181.22 drivers from nvidia which I uninstalled to no avail. don't know why that would help but there you go haha. Anyway thanks in advance to anyone that can help

I recently did a Repair Install and now mine is more stable then ever, it may be a better option then a clean install and the only thing that you will loose will be the nvidia driver as it will revert to the default one again, http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html?ltr=R

Welcome to the Seven Forums.

You could try doing a system restore to a point before this started happening. Info here if needed: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/700-system-restore.html

If that doesn't work, you could try this:http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

Note: you will lose any hacks you've made such as removing the watermark if you run the SFC command.

-EDIT: I'm happy to report that the repair install method fixed my problem. And also made my system a lot more stable haha
