Hi,

If this issue started occurring after doing some recent software changes on your computer, then I would suggest you to restore your system back to a date when it was working fine. System Restore will affect Windows system files, programs, and registry settings only.

For System Restore steps, you can refer to the URL mentioned: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/products/features/system-restore

Are you sure that Hotspot shield is a trustworthy program? Please download Microsoft Security Essentials (link in my signature) and run a full scan of your system.

Please post back your results.

Thanks,

Harry

I have never used it so I really don't know if it works. If it did everything that it says it will do that would be great. I don't think it will help accessing web sites a country is blocking. A country that blocks web sites will do it through threats to the ISP and the ISP will block those sites or else. Once your ISP blocks those sites I don't know of a way to get around that. I doubt this program will get around country blocked web sites. Some Guru might know how to get around blocked web sites but I don't and don't have to know in the U.S.A.

I suppose, you could always use a proxy server, which I used to use when I was at school but then eventually the website providing the proxy server got blocked by my school's server staff. My college has even greater security restrictions, you can't even change your homepage.

I think contacting the ISP will be the easiest option, just need to find out why the webpage has been blocked, especially when it is Google and not anything illegal at all.
