I was browsing SF and clicked a link to antoher thread and got a BSOD 0x124. It may be due to my CPU volts are too low. If someone could check my dump and see what it thinks, I'd be happy.

0x124 - Hardware error on Intel so it could be voltages, overheating so it's worth looking at the CPU.

Those frequency figures are the min and max non-turbo speeds. At stock settings the CPU would down clock to 1600 MHz. I set the min to 2200 MHz. I'll reset the min non turbo to 1600 and see how that goes.

I am currently in the 7th hour of Prime95 and all cores are working.

I had another BSOD while the PC was idle overnight.

I may have a failing CPU. let's see what the dump says. Also after any BSOD I lose the login for SF, I mean I have to login with username and password again, but this doesn't happen on other site that I have cookies saved for which include EF and VF.

I ran Prime for 8 hours and IBT on high with no errors.
I'm thinking I damaged the CPU early on by overheating it.:o
I uninstalled Object Dock, it may have been causing issues too.

Well here's another fine mess. this time it BSOD-ed while running an .avi with WMP. I included the driver list and event logs. I saw in one event log there are numerous instances of the index service finding corrupt files and attempting to correct them, is this a normal thing?
I have also readjusted my CPU settings to get it stable and has passed Prime95 and IBT torture tests, but the BSODs...

Gary, a stop 0x124 may cause a crash by any of the hardware component, from the HDD to the PSU, including the devices drivers, you know :)

As a test, you can set the CPU as default. If you need a lower speed, you may opt for i5 or i3.
