I've been experiencing a rather strange browsing issue, regardless of which browser I use : Internet search engines answer unusually slow to my queries (be it Google (instant), Bing or whatever). Each search query takes about 5s to be displayed.
I don't know if it has any correlation with a malware I just got rid of some days ago, even though I'm quite sure my PC is malware-free now ( according to Combofix and HJT logs ) .

I tried figuring it out on my own, so far I came with the conclusion that it is has nothing to do with hardware or my ISP, in fact my search queries with my Vbox-virtualized Ubuntu (on the same W7 host) are working quite normally.

I'd appreciate any suggestive feedback on this.

I've figured it out, this is due to the TidServ malware, a variant of Alureon Rootkit. A couple of tools from symantec did the trick.
