BSOD (0x000000F4) and dump files not generating. Windows 7 Ultimate 64

Hey Everyone,

I've been battling a BSOD 0x000000F4 for a while now and can't seem to figure it out.

Machine:
Intel Core i5 760@ 2.80ghz
8 GB RAM
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit (Service Pack 1)

Here's the skinny on what I've done so far:

• The BSOD always happens regardless of what I'm doing; even if machine is idle
• The system is NOT creating dmp files for me to view using BlueScreenViewer
• Firmware for SSD which is running OS has latest update

I've have also read the BSOD Posting Instructions thread and have posted the zip file created by the SF Diagnostic Tool.

If I need to post anything else, let me now.

Hello xtianduarte.

Scan the system for possible virus infection.

• Anti-rootkit utility TDSSKiller
• Windows Defender Offline

Uninstall Microsoft Security essentials, and install a fresh downloaded copy.

Follow the tutorial: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/91738-windows-update-reset.html

Update the following drivers:

• Realtek RTL8168D/8111D Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC: Realtek
• Cisco Systems VPN Client: Cisco Systems, Inc
• D-Link DWA-556 Xtreme N PCIe Desktop Adapter: From the manufacturer's website.

Go to Option Two, Point 2. Download the .reg file and merge it in registry by double clicking it.

Search the .dmp files manually in the default path: C:\Windows\Minidump or %SystemRoot%\Minidump. Post it upon the next system crash, following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions.

Thanks for the reply.

I used the Anti-rootkit utility TDSSKiller and nothing. I am going to try the tip with the MS secuity essentials. Also Windows update reset. I did have a question on the reset though. I'm assuming I'm following option one on the link you provided?

One last thing - I've noticed that the BSOD has not come up again. I've left my computer on for days and nothing when before at about an hour it would hit. I haven't really done anything to solve it aside from the Anti-rootkit utility TDSSKiller so I'm not sure what happened. I also installed Xxamp on it the same night but I don't think that has anything to do with it.

I will complete the above steps and then see what happens.
