Greetings,

I'm experiencing BSOD 0x000000F4 problem every time on a normal bootup that just started a couple of hours ago and is still ongoing now.

Currently, running at safe mode with network capabilities and no BSOD issues are happening.

Other problems I have experienced with this laptop for the past 2 years:
- Suddenly restarting with no BSOD
- BSOD problems saying BUG_CODE_USB_DRIVER
- USB ports suddenly stopped working and have to restart. During this problem, proper shutdown/restart can not occur because it will be stuck on Shutting Down loading screen. Have to manually press and hold down power button to shut down.

Any help is highly appreciated as this is my only laptop for home and work.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply.

I checked the dump file tutorial and my settings were already configured just like in the tutorial.
I looked up the Minidump folder and found it was empty. Also the Memory.DMP can not be found.
However, when I checked CCleaner, the Memory Dump option was checked so it seems I've been clearing my dump files every time I use CCleaner. :(

I tried to emulate the BSOD again by booting on normal mode and the BSOD happened again after 3 min from boot up.

BSOD still says 0x000000F4
and when it says dumping memory file it says
"Physical memory dump failed 0xC000000_ (forgot the exact code)"

Here's the SF diagnostic file I ran again after that.

OS
Windows 7 Professional 64bit
Code:
dtsoftbus01 DAEMON Tools Virtual Bus Driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\dtsoftbus01.sys Kernel Driver Yes Manual Running OK Normal No Yes

Uninstall Daemon tools.

Code:
agp440 Intel AGP Bus Filter c:\windows\system32\drivers\agp440.sys Kernel Driver No Manual Stopped OK Normal No No

amdk8 AMD K8 Processor Driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\amdk8.sys Kernel Driver No Manual Stopped OK Normal No No

amdppm AMD Processor Driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\amdppm.sys Kernel Driver No Manual Stopped OK Normal No No
Why those are stopped? Any specific reasons?

Code:
brfiltlo Brother USB Mass-Storage Lower Filter Driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\brfiltlo.sys Kernel Driver No Manual Stopped OK Normal No No
brfiltup Brother USB Mass-Storage Upper Filter Driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\brfiltup.sys Kernel Driver No Manual Stopped OK Normal No No
brserid Brother MFC Serial Port Interface Driver (WDM) c:\windows\system32\drivers\brserid.sys Kernel Driver No Manual Stopped OK Normal No No
brserwdm Brother WDM Serial driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\brserwdm.sys Kernel Driver No Manual Stopped OK Normal No No
brusbmdm Brother MFC USB Fax Only Modem c:\windows\system32\drivers\brusbmdm.sys Kernel Driver No Manual Stopped OK Normal No No
brusbser Brother MFC USB Serial WDM Driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\brusbser.sys Kernel Driver No Manual Stopped OK Normal No No

Do you use those anymore? If so, try to upgrade those. Those all are very old, of 2006.

Code:
iastor Intel AHCI Controller c:\windows\system32\drivers\iastor.sys Kernel Driver Yes Boot Running OK Normal No Yes
iastorv Intel RAID Controller Windows 7 c:\windows\system32\drivers\iastorv.sys Kernel Driver No Manual Stopped OK Normal No No

If possible, try to update those, they are of 2010.

Let us know the results.

1. The Daemon Tools is now uninstalled.

2. I am really not familiar with the AGP Bus Filter and AMP Processor Driver and do not recall configuring them in some way. Also, I have not encountered a notice that they were stopped.

3. I think the The Brother drivers was for an old Fax/Printer machine that I do not use anymore. Is there a way I can uninstall them and where they are located?

4. My System Driver page shows me that I have Intel Series 5 Chipsets for my laptop. I am not sure which specific driver I need to download for upgrade as the Intel download center is not specifically helpful.

Additional details on my laptop:
Model - SAGER NP8690
OS - Windows 7 Professional 64bit
RAM - 8 GB

Also, I still can not generate dump files even though I have the settings the same with the guide.
BSOD still shows Physical memory dump FAILED with status 0xC000009C.
Should I do another procedure to generate memory dump files?

  1. Go to Advance System Setting
  2. Under Performance .. click on setting ...
  3. Go to Advanced Tab and then under virtual memory click change
  4. check "Automatically Manage paging file size for all drives"..... click Ok and ok
  5. and if asked to restart do so....

Now you should be able to create a minidump

I still can't seem to create a minidump.

I rechecked the Dump file settings and made sure that following are checked:
- Write an event to the system log - Checked
- Automatically restart - Checked
- Small memory dump (256KB) - chosen
- Small dump directory - %SystemRoot%\Minidump

I rechecked the paging file settings:
- Automatically manage paging file size for all drives - Checked
- Drive C: [Windows] says System managed
- Drive E: (A partition I made) says none

I restarted the system and reboot on normal mode to emulate the BSOD again.
BSOD happened 3 mins into loading and again says:
Physical memory dump FAILED with status 0xC000009C.

I checked the Minidump folder - C:\Windows\Minidump - and it is empty.

Am I doing something wrong?

Aside from the dump files not being generated, I have found several of these:

Code:

Try checking the SATA adapter cables to the HDD ect. Also make sure you have the latest drivers FOR SURE. If you have to uninstall and re install(probably have to do it in safe mode).

Also,

I'm not sure this is relevant or not, but try uninstalling ALL NVIDIA programs/drivers. Then reinstall with the latest version.

This shows that there was a dump file saved. Look in the location that is bold.

After post back results, and if that dump file is there, attach it so we can analyze better.
