Hello,

I have browsed this forum for a while as my PC has been giving a BSOD since October 11th. I have sent it back to the manufacturers twice as it is still under warranty. It's a custom build, 7 months old. Specs are in my profile. I have had a frustrating month due to this BSOD. As a PC gamer, it makes me feel really uncomfortable knowing my PC could BSOD at any time.

I received it back "fixed" from the company on Wednesday 13th. They have replaced the RAM twice and the motherboard once. It gave a BSOD of F4 at about 6:50pm on Friday 15th. It has then been working fine since. Until 14:08pm today when it gave a BSOD as I was listening to music on iTunes.

It's very frustrating because I'm a WoW player and have been playing fine and non-stop without any BSOD. Then I listen to one song and bam...BSOD.

I have done my research. Dump files are attached. I hope they are of use.

I sincerely appreciate any help on this matter. I was thinking about contacting the company again tomorrow but thought I'd ask here first where the real experts seem to hang out.

Many thanks in advance

A stop 0xF4 is mostly a storage caused BSOD.
You have samsung magician installed. So make it sure that the SSD has the latest firmware.

Post screenshots of both your SSD and HDD using CrystalDiskInfo - Software - Crystal Dew World

And, test your RAM modules for possible errors. Because a failing RAM may cause any sort of issue there.
Run memtest86+ for at least 8 consecutive passes.

If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

Let us know the results.

Hi Arc,

Thanks for the reply. The firmware for the SSD is up-to-date.

Attached are the screenshots of the SSD and HDD from CrystalDiskInfo.
I will start running the memtest86 tests and get back to you with the results on that.

I have ran Memtest86, which took 3 hours. I'm not sure about 8 CPU's, as mine only detected 4? All 4 passed with no errors detected.

I couldn't use the version of memtest you posted. It wouldn't boot from my memory stick, even when changing the boot options in BIOS. I downloaded a version from the official site, said it was version 5. It ran for 3 hours 1 minute and went through 4 CPU's. It then stopped, asked me to save the result and closed. I had no option to run it for 8 passes.

The version I used is here: MemTest86 - Offical Site of the x86 Memory Testing Tool

Sorry for picture quality, had to take a photo with my phone.

You are using a wrong tool to test the memory. Use memtest86+, not memtest86.

If you cannot boot from a flash stick, use a bootable CD.

Memtest86 is not a trustworthy tool.
