BSOD 0x00000124 seemingly random + other possibly related issues

Hey there, i've just signed up to the forum with you guys, so I hope i'm doing everything right.

Just 10 minutes before i type this, my computer crashed. I wasn't really doing anything unusual, wasn't playing a game, was just browsing the internet and watching some videos when i got the BSOD with the title code.

My computer has been having some issues lately, i reformatted about a month and a half ago, that solved most issues temporarily, but they're all back now.

The most frequently occurring problem, is not severe, but it is very irritating; when watching youtube videos, it will play the video anywhere up to 2 minutes, then just start over for no reason.

It started to BSOD more often before the reformat (which is why i did it), unfortunately i've lost which codes it had, there were a couple of different ones. (if i get new BSOD codes i will update the thread with them, including the dump files).

The computer is homebuilt, almost all parts are reasonably new due to a recent overhaul, aside from my 2nd and 3rd hard drive (the OS Hard Drive is under 6 months old).

This is all the information i can think of right now, hardware info is on my profile.

EDIT1: Virus scans turn up nothing.

EDIT2: Just remembered, prior to reformatting, my antivirus stopped working, couldn't install a new one, couldn't uninstall the old one, and deleting the directory manually in safe mode, caused it to crash on boot. To scan it i had to install windows on a separate hard drive and scan like that. That scan turned up nothing. To clarify, the feature that allowed it to detect new threats as they appeared still functioned, but it couldn't run a full scan. the AV program is Avast!

The single memory dump doesn't give us much information - but here's what I got from it:

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Win7 systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions).
Please uninstall the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): DuplexSecure - FAQ

Your USB XBox controller has been known to cause BSOD's in Win7 systems - and there are no updates available later than the one that you have installed. To test this, please uninstall the XBox controller software and physically remove the device from your system. Feel free to reinstall a fresh copy once the system is stabilized.

Your Logitech drivers date from 2009 - please update them.

Your Asus motherboard utilities date from 2009 - please uninstall them.

Some Asus M4 boards may have memory issues. Obtain the settings/timings/voltages for your memory from the memory manufacturer - and then set them manually in the BIOS of your motherboard (in other words, DON'T use the AUTO setting for memory in the BIOS).

If overclocking, please stop and return the system to normal (default) values while we're troubleshooting. Feel free to resume overclocking once we've made the system stable again.

If the above steps don't stop the BSOD's, please zip up and upload any new memory dumps with your next post - and we'll see what we can figure out from there.

Thanks for your reply. I'm currently updating all drivers. A couple hours after the original post I flashed my BIOS (was running version 901 and the latest was 2001) and forgot to update with that. I'll let you know if any more BSOD's happen once everything is fully updated.

Unfortunately, no newer version of logitech keyboard drivers exist.
