Hello,

I have been working on it for many hours, but i give up... No more ideas.

I had got 2x640GB in raid 0 and single 1,5TB HDD. One of HDD in matrix is dying (bad sectors) so i bought another 1,5TB and made another raid0 with 2x1,5TB. But after that my system couldn't get up - I had to rebuild bcd and it helped. I get only error 0xc0000428 - "Windows could not verify digital sign of this file". When i chose "Disable Drivers Signature Enforcement" in advanced startup options, everything were fine untlil i installed Easeus Partition Master...
After that even when i disable drivers signature enforcement i get BSOD 0x000007B. I tryed everything...
Code:
chkdsk c: /f / r (ok)
bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd (ok)
bootrec.exe /fixboot (ok)
bootrec.exe /fixmbr (ok)
bcdedit.exe -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING ON (in both: "An error occurred while attempting to reference the specified entry. The system cannot find the file specified."
bcdedit.exe /store C:\boot\bcd /set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
bcdedit.exe /store C:\boot\bcd /set TESTSIGNING ON (the same)
sfc /scannow ("There is a system repair pending which requires reboot to complete. Restart Windows and run sfc again." )
SFC /SCANNOW /OFFBOOTDIR=C:\ /OFFWINDIR=C:\Windows (function found broken files, but is not able to fix some of these files...)
I also tryed Kaspersky rescue disk, automatic startup repairs. I can't run safe mode, because i get 0xc0000428 - I must disable signature enforcement, but cant pick both. I have no rescue points.
One thing i found was that partiton C: wasn't active - i changed that, but it didn't solve my problem.

Mabye an important clue is that that 0xc0000428 error is caused propably by vdrvroot.sys (c:\windows\system32\drivers). I tried to swap it, but it didn't help.

I hope you will help me...

Best regards,
Tomasz

PS. Sorry for my English... I am still learning...

It sounds like your RAID has failed. One of the reasons RAID is not recommended is because it is not redundant, and you lose everything if you lose one HD. It also confers no advantage I've come across except when working with huge video files that need the spanned volume. The greatest improvement is made with an SSD for OS/Programs.

For now I would unRaid the HD's, choose the fastest one to Clean Install Windows 7, unplug all other HD's during install. Hopefully you have your data backed up externally. If there is any problem wipe the target HD with Diskpart Clean Command.

While you're at it read over the Best Practices for getting a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 which are the same for retail. These are based on helping with countless thousands of installs here to discover what works best - the reason we know that RAID works worst.

I hope that i don't need to reinstal my windows, but now I have no choice.

I have 2x1,5TB and I would like to have one partition 3TB. Do you think that dynamic volumes in this case are better than raid0? For windows I will buy SSD.

Non-standard (in general), added complexity, higher risk, etc. Do the benefits justify?

RAID0 doesn't exist simply to provide larger volumes, even though that's what you get by default.

As far as dynamic is concerned, I'd research the downsides/hazards of doing that before implementing. To be honest though, I don't know enough about it.

Change a Basic Disk into a Dynamic Disk

Dynamic disks and volumes: Storage Services; File and Storage Services

Curious though, what benefits are you look for?

OK, I've done it!

I copied system partition to new SSD disk and after few hours i found the reason. It was a virus problem. I don't know why these tools from Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start didn't work. Even ESET offline scanner couldn't repair all... but I connected this disk to another computer with healthy Windows and i used NOOD32. And that's solved my problem.

Now i have got Samsung 830 128GB for Windows, and 2x1,5TB in RAID0 for data. Why raid? The main cause is that I need one partition for all my data (without system ofc). I hate situation when partition with folder for example "Movies" is full and another partition is not and i have to move data between disks... One partition = more effective using space. Another reason is that I download many HD Movies in archives and i have to unpack it - In this case raid0 is good idea, I think.
And even if raid0 improve only linear transfers there are many situations when it improves (usually a bit only) transfers.
