I have been using an Apple Magic Mouse for the last 2 years and had relatively no issues.. the slight BSOD may appear if I was to disconnect and reconnect the mouse, but apart from that.. nothing.
In the last two days my pc has slowly started hanging, appearing to lag incredibly hard and just outright having a 'blue fit'. Sometimes I'll get a BSOD, others I won't. This morning I came back to find my pc must have crashed again and was stuck on the Windows logo, so I went ahead and restarted it to find I was receiving 0x0000009c MACHINE CHECK EXCEPTION BSOD's. After a lot of trouble I managed to fully clean the pc (dust - there was a LOT that I wasn't aware of), cleaned off the thermal grease, reapplied some more fresh, reset the battery, reseated graphics card and slowly one by one reinserted each of the 4 mem sticks. All seemed fine, except for that 10-20 minutes into managing to login it just hangs with the Windows blue loading circle cursor. After facing this issue with restarts it began to BSOD again, this time with 0x124.
My main worry is that I was overclocking it from 3.5ghz to 4.8ghz. Although I can't guarantee that it's been at 4.8ghz recently as I noticed recently some of the pc readings were coming back as 3.5ghz. When I first encountered the issues this morning I reset all of my BIOS back to default, so that's out of the count now.
I have monitored my usage on the graphics card, mem and cpu, also including temperatures and nothing seems to be out of the ordinary.
Is this just my SSD slowly failing? It's an early days 830 from Samsung. One thing that does stick in my mind is that when I managed to clear the 0x09c BSOD's this morning, plugging my bluetooth adapter back in and trying to use the mouse cause the 0x124.. but even without it now it still continues.
Ideally I'd like to avoid a fresh OS install because of work comitments, but obviously if it's got to be; then it's got to be.
I'm trying my best to get some logs but I can hardly login anymore.. depending on how long I've left the pc off gains me more access time before it freaks again.
