There are two causes for these crashes.

First--your video driver. You need to scrape all traces of the current driver before downloading and installing a fresh copy

Second--hardware. use these instruction to find out what it means and what to try. http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-lockup-debug-how/35349-2-int-stop-0x124-what-means-what-try.html

I would further download a 3rd party app called memtestx86, burn it to cd, and run it for at least 7 passes.

Let us know if you need help with these

well I tired to read up on some stuff before posting this forum and taking peoples time So I have tried a few of those options,

1) memtest came up clean, the ram is new and I did the test a few times right after I installed it.

2) Since I got these errors for a while I decided to reformat, in doing so I am sure that all the drivers are updated and working well, but I will try to reinstall them to insure that it is not that.

So by seeing what is left it looks like a hardware issue is the problem... I am going to assume it is the video card since I replaced it a few months ago and only after installing the card started getting these errors, my theory is that my motherboard is not supporting the card. I have an ASUS m2r32-mvp board and a new Sapphire radeon 4850 card. I think all I need to do is update my bios but I have no clue how to do that and the ASUS website is just giving me the run around.

Do you agree that it would be my bios, or is my whole computer just in need of a new motherboard?
....cause that would suck.....

Hi Vandrid
I just checked your minidump
ASACPI.sys, which is Asus ATK0110 ACPI Utility (a known BSOD maker), it is also a part of the Asus PCProbe and AISuite Utilities, please go download and install fresh copy of it
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx
Code:
 ASACPI ASACPI.sys Fri Aug 13 09:52:52 2004 (411C2D04)
Also, secdrv.SYS which is Macrovision SECURITY Driver, this can be updated via WINDOW UPDATE
Code:
secdrv secdrv.SYS Wed Sep 13 20:18:32 2006 (45080528)
Hope it's help
Good Luck:D

Hi Vandrid
The minidump didn't tell me more thing diffrent from the above
Have you run the memtest86 for at least 7 passes?
The bugcheck indicated error 0x1000008E, please read this article:

KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000008e)
This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address
as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003. This means a hard
coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted
/NODEBUG. This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have
hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ...
If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the
system is booted /DEBUG. This will let us see why this breakpoint is
happening.
Arguments:
Arg1: c0000005, The exception code that was not handled
Arg2: 82a5d0eb, The address that the exception occurred at
Arg3: 9e355cac, Trap Frame

If possible, temporarily swap the card out.

For the BIOS -> ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support-

Choose Motherboard model, then you should find the BIOS update in the list of downloads. Try to use the DOS updater rather than the in-Windows updater if you can (less chance of a failed update).

Thanks for the advice... I did everything you said did memtest, did the HD thing and yet I'm still getting the same errors. Any other advice you could give me would be of great help, I'm thinking that this computer is just toast and I should go about saving the money to get a new one.

If possible, temporarily swap the card out.

With hardware errors the only way to be sure if a part is causing an error is to remove that part from the system and see what happens.

oops, didn't see that last post, I tried to download the bios but they don't have a windows 7 update for it... should I go for something else and download the vista instead or could that be indeed the whole problem, that my motherboard just is too old?

My Computer

Go for the Vista version - the V.1109 BIOS was released in May 2010 so it should be compatible.

Download the file to a USB drive - then refer to your motherboard manual for the procedure for updating your BIOS from a USB drive (I believe it is called EzFlash?)
