Hi, I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit on a Corsair F60 SSD since 3 months and for 2 months it worked fine. Now Windows gives me BSOD randomly (daily) because it loses the ssd drive, it doesn't finds it anymore. The BSOD error is 0xF4.

BSOD comes when I'm in doing something: watching a movie, internet browsing, listen music. There's no pattern. I checked the health of the ssd with hdtune and crystal hd and apparently there's no problem.

My motherboard is ASUS P5B-deluxe, the SSD has the latest firmware and I always used intel drivers 9.6.1014 or something like that. I tried the 10.0.0.1046 version drivers, but today another BSOD came.

I can't even make a minidump because when Windows is going to write it, it doesn't find the drive, obviously because is the bsod cause.

Is there a chance that this problem is due to the installation of service pack 1? Because maybe problems started after the upgrade. I don't remember very well, but it can be.

Any suggestion?

Thanks in advance

Hi Speeder and welcome to SF
Basically F4 means that crucial system processes have been stopped or are unavailable ATM
So the main cause is your disappearing SSD. I have no 1st hand experience with SSDs so I would suggest to open a ticket with Corsair..maybe even RMA the drive but they will tell you how and when.

I posted on Corsair's forum before posting here, but the solutions that they gave me didn't work for me.
I formatted the pc, reinstalled win 7 without to update to service pack one and so far so good.

It sure sounds crazy but in your case it looks it.
Only how come the millions (including myself) that had no problems upgrading to SP1.
I suggest you only do updates one at a time with a restore point until you know which update was ultimately responsible

Thanks for the feedback and good luck
