So, i recently purchased my computer from scan.co.uk

I recieved it wednesday and since have had lots of problems with it crashing, usually when playing guild wars 2.

Its a brand new computer and has been overclocked.

Anyone know of whats causing this as ive emailed scan, so far no one has responded...think it'll be the last time im ordering anything from them.

this is what i get when i reload windows after bsod.

Oh yeah i have also tried taking the RAM out and replacing them but hasn't made any difference.

Should i try the different slots for them?

You have not got service pack 1 installed.
Install this first then see how it goes.

*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for intelppm.sys
Probably caused by : GenuineIntel

Code:
Usual causes: Hardware, Incompatibility, May be driver corruption

The first parameter or argument has the value of 0x0, which is a Machine Check Exception, which means the CPU has detected a hardware problem and the address points to a processor error because the CPU has found one, so it could be a different form of hardware which is causing the issue.

intelppm.sys seems to linked to a Intel chipset driver, you may follow the link to the Intel support page, and then use the automatic driver detection program provided by Intel to check for any possible updates.

In such a situation, it is best to use these steps:
Enable "Round off checking" before the test (see first post below tutorial).
All the hardware seeming to be running stable and tests reporting no errors, could mean a bad motherboard.

Thanks for the reply bluerobot. I deleted the Intel technology program and so far hasn't crashed. Will try your suggestion to see if that is it. Thanks :-)

Okay so i spoke to soon haha. Played Guild Wars for around 4-5 hours constant yesterday with no crashes what so ever...Get back from work to start it up, within 5 minutes it crashes.
With it doing a complete memory dump i gather it might she some more light.

Checked the intel driver but seems valid driver and up to date.

Not sure what else to do now.
