Howzit all,

Well I have read many threads and tried so many things to help, but I keep having the same error. I have attached the FULL reports for you as requested in the instruction forum.

I have tried swoping Graphics cards, i have tried different drivers, i even updated ALL mobo drivers and it still happens. Can somebody please see if they can spot something i am missing?

This is rather annoying because it happens with normal browsing and sometimes happens about 5 times a day.:cry:

I have installed Windows numerous times, even tried Server 2008. Same thing. Service pack 1 also installed, nothing...

Hello Lalaland, welcome to SF!

A 3B error: Usual causes: System service, Device driver, graphics driver, ?memory

Please first make sure you (finish) installing the Windows Updates. One by one manually if you have to.

Turn off / de-install your Nero monitoring tools.

Please tryout if you BSOD in Safemode? Safe Mode - Windows 7 Forums

If you don't then try:
Run a system file check to verify and repair your system files.
To do this type cmd in search, then right click to run as administrator, then
SFC /SCANNOW

Read here for more information http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html
If that does not give errors, next step is:
I'd suggest that you first backup your stuff and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise. Then make a System Restore point (so you can restore the system using the Vista/Win7 Startup Repair feature).

In Windows 7 you can make a Startup Repair disk by going to Start....All Programs...Maintenance...Create a System Repair Disc - with Windows Vista you'll have to use your installation disk or the "Repair your computer" option at the top of the Safe Mode menu .

Then, here's the procedure:
- Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
- Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
- Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
- Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
- Select "Finish" on the next page.

Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen. Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out. If it doesn't crash for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation (an estimate on my part).

If you can't get into Windows because it crashes too soon, try it in Safe Mode.
If you can't get into Safe Mode, try using System Restore from your installation DVD to set the system back to the previous restore point that you created.

Hi, Yes i ran the test, it took very long, about 8 hours. No problems with the RAM. What i was thinking is maybe my RAM is running too fast. I checked on Intel site and for this Dixton RAM should run at 800 and i have it at 1333, do you think that could be the reason?

No, If memtest ran ok... it's ok.
Did you do the Driver Verifier part? Is it on? If so, run normally until Driver Verifier causes a crash. Upload info and dump and it should give us more exact info on the malfunctioning driver.

Oh no, I decided to run memtest again, so far picked up 4 errors, I'm gonna let this test finish & will reply again! Seems it is ram fault.

In that case... better to get the right ram... As I said, if it doesn't pass memtest, and you doubt the ram, replace it. doesn't have to be very costly these days but, of-course, that depends on your situation + country...

Ok i came back from a outing and the test has been running for 20hours, found 5 errors. silly me didnt do a test on each ram chip, but at least i know now what the problem is of my oh so often blue screen. I am gonna anyways get Kingston RAM, the one i have now i dont really trust. once i have new ram, i will then individually test these again but not for so long, take out the bad ram chip and use new one with my old chip, that is to say if only one of these chips are bad. Thanx for all your help MvdB, i appreciate it.
