Hi, Since 2 months ago, most of the times when close windows by software, i get a bsod with the code 3b:

BugCheck 3B, {c0000005, fffff9600019ec1a, fffff8800965dc10, 0}

My computer is new of this year, so i don't think that will be a hardware problem, but all is possible.

At the moment i have passed the memtest for 2 hours, and i didn't get any error.


I tried to update gpu drivers, all system drivers, and i continue getting the bsod code every time when i turn off my computer or when i restart.

I recommend uninstalling cFosSpeed, because it was running at the time of the crash. If you upload more dmp files, I can give you a more definitive answer concerning that program.

Hey Brian, welcome to the Crashes section!

BSV is not very accurate, unfortunately. It seems to always blame ntoskrnl or ntkrpmap.exe. Windbg does a much better job, but it's a bit harder to use. That's why we're here though.

i had a bsod about an hour ago i was de-fragmenting a external drive LACIE 1TB with piriform and the software pinpointed the problem for me ok.

Sometimes it points out the error, but it's mostly good for summarizing the bugchecks or taking a quick peek at a folder full of dmps.
