Hello,

I've been consulting this forum for help on recent BSOD's on my Alienware M14x laptop. What has been happening since last Thursday is as follows: I boot to the desktop, then, regardless of what I start doing, I get a BSOD before 10 minutes are up. It is preventing me from playing games (which is why I bought the laptop, that was September of 2011) or doing anything else, really. It seems I can use the Internet in Safe Mode with Networking, but I'd really like to be able to play my games.

The only other real problem like this that I've faced with this laptop is a performance issue with my games that was solved by blowing the dust out of the fan. Silly, I know :P

I'll try to include all the info I know, but if there's anything I missed that is necessary, please tell me how to obtain that information. I'm normally very handy with computers, but when it comes to hardware and internal problems like this, I don't know much. :S

Here's my specs, and I'll attach the results of the SF diagnostics tool that I was told to use.

Dell Alienware M14xR1 (Purchased Sep '11)

NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M
Driver Info: Model ST9500423AS 500GB
Firmware: 0001DEM1

Thanks in advance. I really hope this problem is easily fixable.

From Looking at your ump files it appears that your wireless drivers may need to be updated as it is causing the problem, I would check the manufacturers site to see if you can find updates.

Thanks a lot Dsprague! I went through and updated as many of the wireless drivers as I could (even the hidden ones) and that seemed to work. Hopefully it stays this way. I can't thank you enough for helping me. I was about ready to tear my hair out. :P
