Hi guys, just started getting this BSOD over the last two days...

Any help is appreciated

- Running Win 7 X86
- OEM version of Win 7 running on a custom machine
- Been running this configuration for 2 years no issues
- Hardware is about 2 years old

I am afraid your installation is not genuine. Non-Genuine Windows contains security leaks and also cannot be properly updated which may result in instabilities and blue screen crashes. If you were not aware that your Windows was Non-Genuine, contact your seller or the company that provided the seller and file a complaint. Also let Microsoft know of the problem.

I'm confused... For sure it is a genuine installation of windows. I have the original CD with key from acer right in front of me.

Can you tell me how it was determined that the copy is not genuine?

If I have understood correctly:

- the OS came preinstalled as an OEM on an Acer laptop
- you have since installed this OEM licence to another PC

You cannot do this. The OEM licence is permanently tied to the laptop, and cannot be transferred to another laptop/PC.

Also have an Asus ha1002xp netbook with Win 7 Ultimate installed.
The installation is counterfeit.
The Product Key is from an AlienWare computer while the SLIC table and BIOS say it's a Gigabyte.
However, the board appears to be a retail one, which should not have a SLIC table in the first place - the installation has therefore been enabled by a hacker's Activation Exploit.

For what version and edition of Windows is the machine licensed, according to the COA sticker on the case??
