Hi, I've spent a couple of days trying to solve this problem now with nothing to show for my troubles. I have found many many posts linking to this forum so I figured this is my best option.

My PC is on 24 hours a day and about once a month my PC has restarted and I get the "Your computer has recovered from a serious error" message. It usually happens when the PC is not being used but has also happened when I have been using it.

I have uploaded the very easy to use DM Log Collector file and hope someone can help me.

Thanks
Chris

There are 35 items to auto-start with windows. Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

  1. Click on the Start button
  2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
  3. Select the “Startup” tab.
  4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
  5. Apply > OK
  6. Accept then restart.
Report us for any further BSOD with the cleaned up startup folder.

Thanks for your time Arc,
It's amazing how much crap loads up with windows after you've had it a while. I have disabled the vast majority of them now and I hope this helps. At the very least it will speed my PC up a bit.

Thanks

Chris
