Hi everybody.

I have a few problems atm with my computer but the one that is bother me the most is after an hour so, the computer will not respond to what i'm clicking on, next thing i notice SOMETIMES when i'm in chrome browser is the shockwave plug in has crashed and next is the BSOD, then the computer reboots and this:"reboot and select proper boot device
or insert boot media in selected boot device."

i have uninstalled then reinstalled shockwave, i have googled my problem for ages but my problem seems unique.

can anyone suggest what i can try doing or please ask me any information you may need to help me.

p.s. i had this problem plus many others before but i formatted my hard drive in the hope to cure these problems, also i have bluescreenview but it has only recorded 2 past BSODs. i have forgotten what the error says because i dont always see it happen but i will let you know once i see it again.

* I just saw the blue screen but i didnt get the tech info, it just says a problem has occured.....

Hello helterskelter and welcome to Seven Forums.

If you haven't already done so, it would help if you'd set up your computer to create a Dump File whenever you get a BSOD. The dump file will help to diagnose, isolate, and provide possible solutions as to why your computer is BSOD-ing. When you have a dump file you can post it in the Crashes and Debugging section following the posting instructions.

In the meantime there are a couple of things you can try that might help. For example, you can uninstall Chrome and reinstall a fresh copy just in case something within the browser became damaged or corrupted.

Uninstall Google Chrome - Google Chrome Help

You could try running Chrome with all extensions/add-ons disabled. Re-enable one at a time to see if a particular extension/add-on is causing the problem.

How to Disable or Uninstall Google Chrome Extensions/Addons

You could see if any other applications are causing a conflict by performing a clean startup (AKA a clean boot.)

And you can check for any damaged or corrupt system files by running a system file checker scan from an elevated command prompt (option two.) If problems are found, run the scan 3 times and reboot the computer after each scan.
