OK...I've been trying to figure out my laptops problems for the past month and half now.

My laptop is an Asus G73JW-A1. I am running Windows 7 64-bit.

After receiving it, I was getting BSODs and random freezes. After 2 fresh installs of Windows 7, the BSODs stopped but the random freezes (requiring forced shutdown) and random USB port failures remain.

I've updated all the drivers, ran Memtest, ran a HD diagnostic test and everything appears fine....except for the random crashes.

I decided to do a clean boot today (running only microsoft applications) to see if maybe there was some software conflict that was causing the crashes. After leaving the computer idle for about 4 hours I return, move the mouse, and a BSOD occurs. Something about a SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION.

Can someone look at my dump files and point me in the right direction so I can finally get this laptop working properly??

Thanks!

Hi,
Your Realtek HD audio driver was involved on the crash, so I recommend you to reinstall that driver. → Realtek

Also update your Atheros Gigabit Ethernet driver
athrx.sys Mon Oct 05 09:33:57 2009 → http://www.atheros.com/pt/index.html

If the problem persist then enable driver verifier.

I checked those 2 drivers and it says they are the latest versions.

I've run into another BSOD today.

My USB 2.0 ports stopped working again. I stepped away for about 10 minutes, came back, and the mouse would not respond. The ports still have power as I can plug in and charge my MP3 player but my USB mouse and flash drive will not respond on any of the 2.0 ports.

The USB 3.0 port works fine though. I can plug in and use the mouse and flash drive in that port....weird.

I scanned for new hardware changes in the device manager and another BSOD popped up...USB BUGCODE ERROR

Any ideas??

Yes, your latest dmp blame on usbhub.sys as the caused.
So I recommend you to reinstall your Intel Chipset driver.
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/

Then have you tried memtest86 for at least 7 passes?

I was wondering if someone would take a look at my latest BSOD dump files.

I'm definitely sending my laptop in for an RMA this week. I just want to know what may have caused this recent BSOD so I can ask the technicians to check it out.

Thanks!
