I know this must be the 561651681681 thread that u have answered about this bsod problem, but i have read many threads and all of them seem to be individual to each pc so I thought you could help.

Im trying to install Windows 7 X86 RTM 7600 on my pc from a burned DVD, it installs everything fine but when it says "Starting Services " the screens blinks, and then the BSoD appears, it goes too fast to notice what it says, cuz the pc reboots immediately. Also the BSoD seems to be too big for my screen so its almost unreadable.

Im writing this on the same pc thats giving me the error. I install Xp normally everytime (Ive installed it 3 times today )

My pc:

Intel MB 945GCM5, Integrated video, 1gb of ram, 2.0 dual core Intel processor

Ive tried changing the BIOS setup, disconnecting everything, and nothing.... Any ideas??

Thanks! :D

There is the possibility that the file you downloaded became corrupt during the download process, or during the burn process.

For starters I'd personally do this :

1) Reburn the image at 4x speed
2) Download the RTM build from another source and then burn it.

Hard Drives

(1) WD RE4 1Tb SATA3 Drive

Thanks for the help.. what size should the image have?

Cuz i checked the DVD and it haz 2.32 Gbs and I have this other image that I just downloaded thats 2.34 Gb

That difference could be causing the BSoD???

Thanks :)

two thing you can do. first boot from xp if you cant get into win 7 and go to the windows\minidump folder in windows. find the dump file (*.dmp) and zip it and upload it. second if you boot into safe mode does you still get BSOD? (i have the same integrated video and had the same problem)

So u think its the integrated video?

Well I cant go into win Xp, if i try to, the screen just stays black with an underscore blinking on top... The safe mode also brings the bsod

I just tried to install win 7 on my sisters computer, wich is slightly better with 2 gigs of ram and a 128 vid card and it wont even open the window to select the language and stuff..

After pressing any button to start from DVD, it loads some file, the new splash loading screen starts and then I get the new blue background and thats it... nothing else happens...

Im really starting to think someone cursed my pcs

Ohh BTW my motherboard is MSI not intel, and my sister has the same pc, except for the extra gig or ram and the vid card

Thanks!

Hi Romsfan,

I reckon it's the integrated video, you only have I Gig of ram and part of that goes for the video card, memory is very cheap at the moment you could invest in a bit more, but it could also be the integrated video driver, perhaps you could perhaps get yourself a video card too, there are some good deals at the moment.
Well worth thinking about. Your computer would perform so much better.
Have you tried to see if you can go into save mode that's F8 normally, then you could take a look round and see if you can see a problem. The event viewer might even show something, if that works in safe mode.
If the bios on your motherboard is easy to update and needs updating I'd do it for Win 7.
Intel has a has a utility which works within windows, misi might have a similar
easy utility.
Anyway I hope you sort your problem. It might be something simple like the screen
resolution.
Sandy.

Hey sandy thanks for the help,

Yeah i know i really should upgrade my pc, but Im from Venezuela... here things cost 4 times their original price cuz ppl here are just parasites that want to get rich overnight and dont care about their peers :P so right now upgrading seems kinda hard :p

The thing is if it was the ram or the Vid card, why would it not run on my sisters pc either... its even weirder. cuz she has more ram and a 128 video card, and the install wont even start, it stays in the blue and green Background that appears before it asks your for the language and the unit and currency thingy

Im starting to think that W7 is not meant to be for me

Sorry again Romsfan, I'm in England and it's not too bad getting parts, even cheaper in America though, my daughter went there and said it's amazing the prices there for pc parts.
On the Microsoft Windows site you can download a file, which will tell you if win 7 can be installed on your computers at all, 32 bit or 64. the upgrade adviser.
This is a very helpful file, you could install on your sister's computer and it will tell you what you need to run win7.
Hope you get your computer sorted, looks like you might have to reinstall your XP.
Let us know if you get things sorted.
Sandy.
