Solved BSOD after new SSD; corrupt rdyboost.sys; now endless repair loop

Hello!

I cloned my Win 7 Professional install to an SSD using Wintool. Booted from SSD; BSOD.

Managed to recover with Repair Disk.

Then added old HDD. System added some drivers and requested reboot.

BSOD on reboot.

Tried to recover with Repair Disk and Wintool. No luck. Have possibly (almost certainly) made things worse as now in endless repair loop.

No luck with dm log collector ('missing subsystem') but have uploaded frst.txt.

Hi rg15,

Sorry, but I can't use FRST for troubleshooting BSOD issues.
FRST is commonly used for malware removal and since I'm currently training for malware removal I am not allowed to use those logs anywhere without a qualified instructor checking what I'm doing.

Having said that, what BSOD error codes do you see?
Have you tried to put a backup of your OS onto the SSD? Cloning doesn't often go very well.

Hi RG15,

Frst log tells me your Boot configuration is corrupt

Drive 0 w7 (system reserved is also within your C partition)
Drive 6 XP

when you cloned and re-installed did you set it up as Dual boot???

Not sure what I did, some combination of RAID mode (SATA) in the bios and the same id on both disks.

But, I've managed to restore old system using the tool (EasyRE) recommended on the Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start post.
