Hi folks, i'm really hoping someone here can help me with this. here goes...

I received this laptop a couple of years ago from a family member who got it from someone else and never used it. sometime later, i decided to do a fresh install of win7. everything seemed fine. i normally sleep the pc overnight, but after shutting down completely overnight one time , i started having bsod problems. i avoided the problem by not shutting the system down or by restoring the system, which would help until the pc was shutdown again. sometime later, i decided to do a clean install and the same thing happened. now i have installed win7 for a third time with the intention of stopping after each driver was installed and shutting down the pc for 5 minutes each time in between to see if i could discover the problem. most of the drivers on the asus website are old so i used the latest from the amd ccc package, realtek, and a newer synaptic touchpad driver. i had no problems at all... until i shutdown the system overnight. the next day bsod, usually 1-2 minutes after startup but mostly ok in safe mode. 1st time read APC_INDEX_MISMATCH, all subsequent times have read SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION. Please let me know if there's any other info that could be helpful. i'm not at all computer savvy, so i really do appreciate any help i can get. thanks.

* i just wanted to add that after running safe mode for a while, i can shutdown and start normal mode again without getting bsod. sorry if i'm being confusing.

Well have you tried checking your windows installion media? The APC_INDEX_MISMATCH is caused by the registry. SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXPECTION is caused by Pool corruption.
