BSOD after removing Alureon.a

Everything is running fine, nothing is slow. Working as good as it usually does. I'll give another hour or so to say whether programs are running fine as I haven't been doing much but, I atleast don't expect any issues.

Remove the norton and the other virus software you have . Malwarebytes is not an everyday program to run unless you purchase the Pro version .

Once you have the virus removed. Restart then Run a Defrag then recreate the System Restore . Don't forget to Delete your current ones before you create a new one .

Hmmmm.....VK, I have the free version of Malwarebytes and run it every week, or so.
If something suspicious comes up, it can be run whenever necessary.
Guess you mean that the free version cannot be scheduled to run on a daily basis?

@thenecessity,

Going to sign off pretty soon, so take your time and give the computer a day or so before you decide on whether it is running to your satisfaction.

After you get done with the actions suggested by VistaKing, please download:
Security Check

http://screen317.spywareinfoforum.org/SecurityCheck.exe
Save to the Desktop.

Double-click SecurityCheck.exe and follow the onscreen instructions (on the black screen)

When done, a Notepad document opens automatically: checkup.txt

Please post the contents of checkup.txt in your reply.

Thanks alot for the help guys :) restore point was made and everything running smoothly as far as I can tell. Will get back to here or my old thread in about a day or so after I use more programs, and if another blue screen happens.

I'll edit in the security check when its done.

You still have Norton installed along with Norton360

Just a note for you in case you have problems doing a system restore, Running Norton 360 you will be unable to do it unless you go into the Norton settings/administrative settings & turn off Norton Product Tamper Protection.

A couple years back I had probs doing a sys restore & this was what was preventing it from restoring. You need to turn it off all the way, do the system restore & then turn it back on.
