I've read around a bit but nothing seems to be fixing my problem. My battery on my laptop died a few months back. I got the battery replaced last month and ever since I've been experiencing the BSOD for power driver failure once or twice a day. It rarely occurs while the laptop is in use. It's only when I open the laptop to restore it from sleep that I find it has crashed. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello and welcome to Seven Forums.

Please upload your msinfo32.nfo file. To get this: Start Menu -> Type msinfo32 into the Search programs and files box -> When it opens, go to File, Save -> Save as msinfo32.nfo and save in a place you will remember -> Let it finish the process of gathering and saving the system info -> Right click the .nfo file, click send to compressed (zipped) folder -> Upload the .zip file here.

Please upload your msinfo32.txt file. To get this: Start Menu -> Type msinfo32 into the Search programs and files box -> When it opens, go to File, Export -> Save as msinfo32.txt and save in a place you will remember -> Let it finish the process of gathering and saving the system info -> Right click the .txt file, click send to compressed (zipped) folder -> Upload the .zip file here.

Have you reported this issue to the place you got the battery replaced from?

I had three of the things on the Intel link out of date. Downloaded the updates and left my laptop in sleep mode overnight. Haven't had a BSOD yet. Definitely would have expected one if not two by now. Seems like my problem may be solved. Thanks a lot for your help!!!

Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes, both recommended from a strict BSOD perspective.

Microsoft Security Essentials, Free antivirus for windows and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free
