Hey, I get BSOD sometimes when I start up my Laptop(Acer aspire 5738, OS win7 64bit)

This started happening after my initial problem of usb and portable hd not reading as the drivers would not install correctly and yet i had used these before and worked perfectly.

I have tried updating, removing then restarting. I cannot troubleshoot there is something preventing this.

I have tried Sfc /scannow in the command prompt as admin this is the result

"windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of th
em.
Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\logs\CBS\CBS.log For example
C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBs.log

C:\Users\User>"

I would be happy to add any additional information

Fix,
You can help us to help you by carrying out this procedure:
Update your SevenForums System Specs
User CP (located on the top menu bar) |
Your Profile | Edit System Spec
(left-hand column)

To gather info, use Speccy (my favorite) or SIW or System Info

In the System Manufacturer Block, enter:
Manufacturer and Model and
ADD the word laptop, desktop, netbook or tablet.
For example:
Toshiba Satellite L305D notebook.

Provide full windows version info, for example:
MS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit

Use the “Other Info” block for Optical Reader,
Mouse, touchpad, wifi adapter, speakers, monitor, etc

Scroll down and click on SAVE CHANGES.

You will find that in Speccy, you can select info from the display
using your mouse/touchpad and then paste that info into your specs.

SIW is a marvelous program, but the free version does not offer
this capability.

I would like to manually fix these problems, im not a computer expert so lamens terms.

Or just a fresh install of windows, if thats possible in this state. I do not have the cd as windows came with the laptop.

How would i go about doing a fresh install and would this fix all the problems ?

I have already backed copied most of my pictures to a cd, would have used portable hard drive but those don't work.

Everytime it seems now I get bsod on startup and it tried to fix itself.
