the original installed OS on the system? No
an OEM or full retail version?
full retail version
What is the age of system (hardware)? 1 Year 3 Months, excluding soundcard
What is the age of OS installation (have you re-installed the OS?) 5 months

My computer's been in use for more than a year now and now its been giving out random bsods that I have no idea what caused it and has resulted in hard drive corruption which led to one full reformat and replacement of the main hard drive with a new one. The old hard drive is kept as the secondary drive which holds documents and stuff.

There are also some strange things happening on my computer like the front USB ports of my cpu case (antec 300) not working with all devices and short but intermittent loss of power to my peripheral devices using the usb ports.

The last new device I installed on my computer was a Creative soundcard, it is the only hardware I've ever installed so far.

So wat do now?

The picture of the BSOD and its contents are attached below

I've researched the line (IRQL not less or equal) in the internets and tried different solutions like updating my graphics card and running memtest but to no avail it hasn't stopped the BSOD's.

Here are some more error codes

Here is the attachment of the minidump file for those who can diagnose it

Many thanks to anyone who could help me.

That's strange, I'm re-archiving it into a zip file using Ultra compression in 7-zip. Here.

On second thought, Here's the link to the uncompressed archive.

Asacpi.sys

The pre 2009 version of this driver is a known BSOD cause.
Please visit this link: Asus tek computer inc. -support- drivers and download p7p55d le

ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download P7P55D LE
ASUSTeK Computer Inc. - Motherboards- ASUS P5K-VM

Scroll down to the utilities category, then scroll down to the "atk0110 driver for windowsxp/vista/windows 7 32&64-bit" (it's about the 12th item down).

Download and install it.

Go to c:\windows\system32\drivers to check and make sure that the asacpi.sys file is date stamped from 2009 or 2010 (not before).

Other old drivers needing updating including 3 year old ESET
Code:
ASACPI.sys 8/12/2004 10:52:52 PM
PxHelp20.sys 2/2/2007 5:23:57 PM
wacommousefilter.sys 2/16/2007 2:12:29 PM
spldr.sys 5/11/2009 12:13:47 PM
Epfwndis.sys 5/14/2009 9:12:03 AM
epfw.sys 5/14/2009 9:12:05 AM
epfwwfp.sys 5/14/2009 9:12:05 AM

ehdrv.sys 5/14/2009 9:31:56 AM

How To Find Drivers:
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.

- - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference "http://www.carrona.org/dvrref.php"]Driver Reference

- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: "http://www.carrona.org/drvrdown.html"]Drivers and Downloads

Affirmative, I will install the driver you mentioned above and update the bios of my motherboard as well. Let's see what'll happen, I'll provide updates soon after applying your solution, thanks.

Update: i received an error when installing the "IRST_V10501026_XPVistaWin7" driver, it says "This computer does not meet the minium requirements for installing the software."

I am running 32bit Windows 7 so this doesn't make sense to me, do I need to install another software/driver before this one?

I did insall the ATK driver you linked though, but the asacpi file still has 2004 as its last date modified.

Update2: I just flashed the bios with the updated rom (I picked the 2nd to the newest one since the latest one requires another driver and it focuses more on ssd's and raid devices which I do not use), the asacpi.sys file on my system32 folder is now updated to 2009. I also got a nifty new Bios screen to look at whenever I start up my computer.

This gives me a glimmer of hope, if I don't experience a BSOD in the following hours you have my deepest gratitude.

No BSOD's and I finished my work. I slept secure and contented.

Update 3: Just woke up and tried opening the computer from a cold boot, BAM! The computer immediately had a BSOD the second it entered the windows loading page. Restarting it lands a "The file is probably corrupt, the file header checksum does not match the computed checksum," there's nothing windows startup repair could do (and did not go anywhere whichever i pressed until I hard reset). It was a bad driver which the autostartup repair said.

Restarting the 3rd time (after turning off everything like the power supply) and starting again, it booted normally to my desktop, which I am posting on now. I'm going to attach another of the minidump files, updated of couse.

Driver verified and related to your 2004 asacpi.sys

Okay then, I lied about installing the driver you linked above. I searched the model of my own mb (it was p7p55D and not LE) and dl-ed the same atk driver from there.

So should I download the atk driver/s from both the links you pasted or either should be fine?

One is fine.

Hi zigzag, when I tried to install the driver by clicking AsAcpiIns.exe all that I saw was a cmd terminal quickly appearing and disappearing and nothing happens afterwards. Is this normal?

Yes. Please check the date on asacpi.sys in system32

It is dated 2009, and I had another BSOD a few minutes after checking its date so I don't think it has fully remedied my situation.

If you are still crashing please upload the DMPS
