BSOD after waking from sleep

Hi.

i seem to keep getting bsod after waking the computer from sleep

i just installed fresh windows seven with driver genius 12 driver update so i'm not sure why Im getting problems

this problem also occured in vista, but more randomly

followed the windows 7 diagnostic tool grab all dump

the laptops a standard HP dv6 1215sa 4gb ram 300gb hard drive 2.2ghz turion dual core

Testing the HDD:

  1. Perform a Disk Check | http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html
  2. Then Post the results following | THIS METHOD
  3. Download SeaTools for Windows if you don't want to use a CD to test the HDD you can use YUMI – Multiboot USB Creator to create a bootable USB (instructions are found at the bottom of the page).

ive done both disk check and seatools (quick check)

ive included the disc check in the attachment and another SF diagnostic log

i dont know where the seatools log is but it didnt tell me about any problems. do you think i should run a long test or can you tell me where the log is?

how do i test the cd rom drive it has never cause me any problems

Download Speccy and Post a Screenshot of the summary window under two conditions.

  1. Normal use for 30 minutes.
  2. Strees Tessting With Prime95, :warn: Keep a close eye in the temperatures don't let it exceed 80°! If it does STOP the test and shutdown the PC in a safe manner using the Shut Down option in the start menu.

lol its overheated since the day it was bought brand new check the temps without the stress test!! its never been able to go on high performance mode because it shuts down constantly its always on power saver. and i'm only browsing the internet no videos or anything. cant use hdmi output cause it overheats. its been cleaned inside and had the fan replaced

Well that must be it, if not than a big part of the issue.

How old is the laptop? thermal pads, like anything, degrade over time.
Most BIOSs these days have an option to set a fan profile, i.e. Silent / Normal.
Check and see if yours offers this option.

you can also purchase a cooling-mat for it and see if it helps, making sure that the air vents
doesn't look like this picture I took today would go a long way.
