Hi,

I recently started getting BSOD every time I wake from sleep.

The blue screen error says BAD_POOLER_CALLER.

The only new hardware I added was the hard disk I replaced 4 months ago.

Attached is the dump and system information.

Appreciate your kind help.

Thank you.

Hi superfly71.

There are two different crash dumps with two totally different bugcheck codes. But what you have stated here is very important:
I recently started getting BSOD every time I wake from sleep.
Based on the situation, I would suggest you to try two things at the beginning of the troubleshooting process.

First, Uninstall Virtual Clone Drive. It has an impact on these type of sleep caused BSODs.

Second, Change the power option for the HDD. Follow http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/778-power-plan-settings-change.html and come upto the point 5.B. Expand the "Hard Disk", set the "turn off hard disk after" to zero minutes.

See how it goes. Let us know the results alongwith any further BSOD dump occurred after doing these two.

Seems to be fine now

Thank you Arc and Axe0 for your kind advices.

The problem seems to be resolved now after I installed the following driver updates from Windows Update.

MediaTek, Inc. - WLAN - Ralink RT3090 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter
Realtek - Network - Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller
Synaptics - Input - Synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPad

And the following updates

Update for Kernel-Mode Driver Framework version 1.11 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2685811)
Update for User-Mode Driver Framework version 1.11 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2685813)

I have also heeded Arc's advice to uninstall VirtualCloneDrive. I have had some bad experiences with it before and I don't know why I installed it in the first place :p

I am on my 6th wake from sleep and no problems so far :D

Just got the blue screen again

Hi guys,

This time the BSOD occurred during shut down of the system

The BlueScreenView tool indicates that it is a failure due to discache.sys.

I think it is a problem with the hard disk because that is the only hardware I added to the machine 4 months ago.

Please see attached dump file.

Thank you.
