I often get a blue screen, computer freezes, or computer just suddenly restarts.
most of time after pc restarts after the above it beeps 1 short and 1 long beep for up to 10 minutes at a time.
My pc often does 1 of the 3 running windows media player, youtube or any other videos on the net, and Perfect World International. My pc runs perfectly fine as long as I dont try to load vids, games, or music.
When i am persistant enough eventually my pc after SEVERAL BSOD and restarts and beeping runs perfectly fine untill I decide to shutdown, but problem returns upon restarting and trying to do something.

Welcome to the sevenforums Ranger, sorry you are having problems.

Honestly when it comes to POST error beep codes it would help us greatly if you filled in youur system specs. These beep codes do vary from one BIOS manufacturer to the next... so knowing what mobo/bios you have may help us help you!

Is this a newly built PC? If so double check that every add on card is firmly seated, RAM, CPU, etc...

really ?

was this a single wire with a simple plastic insulation coating from an older power supply ?

yes it would be EMI or also known as RFI electromagnetic interference but however highly unusual from a single cable on a stable power supply ?
