Hi

My computer has been slow, freezing and hanging on shutdowns. I scanned it with avg and it picked up a few threats which i removed. Malwarebytes said everything was fine.

Then i ran check disk and sfc scan which picked up and repaired some corrupt files.

Now windows update won't download new updates. The windows solution center picked up a problem with harddisk but is unable to connect to the internet to show a solution even though my internet is working fine. The solution center says the problem is with the "Microsoft windows search indexer" which stopped working apparently.

I tried fixing the windows solution center problem by going to a help forum but when i tried resetting the TCP/IP, proxy and DNS as instructed by a user my pc blue screened. The code i entered into command prompt was NETSH INT IP RESET

Anyway. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
