Hello!
My crash & BSOD problems have started recently with a single game - Metro 2033. The game would crash randomly with a system lockup and the appearance of weird color lines on the display , or it will display a BSOD after the appearance of these colors. Only a manual restart would help in both cases. Recently this problem appeared only in Metro 2033, so I thought it could be some game/driver bug, since the game uses Nvidia Physx and you have to install that, but today I started getting the same crash/BSOD in Crysis too. I have been uninstalling/installing the GPU drivers using the complete wipe out method with DriverSweeper, but that doesn't help
I am running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and here are my hardware specs:
|| ASUS P5QC (P45 Chipset) || Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 G0 1.325 VID @ 3.20GHz (400x8) || Xigmatek Dark Knight-S1283W || Corsair Dominator 2x2GB DDR2-1066MHz 5-5-5-15 || Sapphire 4890 1GB || WD Black 640GB + 250GB Blue || CM Silent Pro 850W || Xigmatek Midgard (5x140mm Fans) ||
I have tested my CPU overclock with a 24 hours prime95 test and it is 100% stable. The memory has been checked with 12 hours memtest86+ without an error too. I have just completed 1 hour Furmark stability test + 3 hours MSI Kombustor to check my graphics card.
I have no idea what is causing this crash/BSOD but when the blue screen appears the error code includes "atikmpag.sys"
I will much appreciate your help!
