Hi there recently I have noticed during back up that I'm getting a few too many BSOD's My pc has not been ale to back up for over a week now and it's getting frustrating to say the least. It runs perfectly until around 70% of the back up then just crashes. I'm not very good at just locating problems and always come here for help which i often get.
the usual BSOD code is this

BCCode: 124
BCP1: 0000000000000000
BCP2: FFFFFA8003A558F8
BCP3: 00000000B2000000
BCP4: 0000000000070F0F
OS Version: 6_1_7601
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 768_1

Please help!

Many thanks CityLady

Ok I did the sfc/scannow process in command prompt with admin rights and it found nothing wrong. I did it 3 times to see if it missed anything and the same message came up nothing found. I read somewhere but not sure where now that it could be down to drivers. Is there anyway i can check to see if I have any bad drivers installed?

Thanks

We really need the logs (DMP's) created when your computer crashed but from the info you have given us it appears to be a hardware issue.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
*If the files are too large please upload them to a file sharing service like "Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.

To ensure minidumps are enabled:

Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
OK your way out.
Reboot if changes have been made.

Your .dmp file shows a stop error of 0x124 which is a general hardware error .

A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of bluescreens because it stems from a hardware complaint.

Stop 0x124 minidumps contain very little practical information, and it is therefore necessary to approach the problem as a case of hardware in an unknown state of distress.

I am not sure if I have done the zip files right as never used it before, so please let me know if they are right and the relevant info you require is there.

Many thanks again ZigZag3143

These were hardware related but I would re-install this driver first. Related to nvstor.sys nForce(TM) Sata Performance Driver from NVIDIA Corporation .

How To Find Drivers:
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
- - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference Driver Reference
- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads
