Windows 7 64 bit
built myself
Core i5 720, h55m-le, 1600mhz ddr3 gskill, ati hd5750, 7200.9 seagate 500gb barracuda ST3500641AS
Corsair 400w psu
Tried formatting and doing a clean install of 7 again, problem remained.

Everything seems to work fine, yet whenever i try to use defrag, either windows 7's or any 3rd party, it gives me bsod; the disk does seem a lil slow and noisy from time to time; tried using scandisk and some seagate tools to detect errors on the disk and altho they took a long time, they found none.

the error it gave me was

stop: 0x000000f4 (0x0000000000000003, 0xfffffa800630eb30, 0xfffffa800630ee10, 0xfffff8002d8c500)

googled it and found nothing :(

P.d everything is new but the hdd, wich came from my 1 year old pc, it had no os preinstalled either

Hi,

For some reason the collection application did not detect any BSOD minidumps (it does this occasionally). Can you check C:\Windows\Minidump and upload anything you find there.

If there is nothing there then can you check the settings mentioned in this post to see if your system is set up correctly to collect dump files when it Blue Screens.

Given that you say these BSODs are occurring only after defragging, it would pay to update your HDD drivers.

Run the update utility from here: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Default.aspx

Regards,
Reventon

Do all reventon recommended.

Just on a hunch, you may also consider a virus scan just because of the nature of he bugcheck 0x000000f4. I recommend a Full scan with Malwarebytes, even if your current AV program checks out clean.
