BSOD at i5 2nd cores' 2nd thread 100% usage

Hello!
Recently I bought a new laptop ACER v3-571G manufacturer number NX.M67EL.002 - with no Windows pre-installed. After installing a Windows 7, I immediately had problems with Atheros wireless drivers - it could barely connect to the wireless network (most of the time when i start up Windows i need to go to the device manager and disable-enable Atheros network adapter and after this step I have no connection issues until I restart laptop). I have tried different methods and ended up by writing everything HERE: PROBLEM with Atheros WiFi connection - Acer Support Community

As I reinstalled Windows (which is written in that topic) I still had BSOD: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE 0x0000009f
The i5 2nd cores' 2nd thread goes to 100% usage and my laptop seemingly slows down - at that moment I cant open a new programs, but can work with already opened. After some minute or two the OS is crashing

The main questions are:
It is a problem in software or hardware - do I need to send my laptop to the warranty repair?
Could it help if I buy Windows 8 and reinstall from my Windows 7 or it can be repaired on my old OS?

Your graphics driver seems to be causing some issues, and is very outdated, please update it to the latest WHQL version which has been tested by Microsoft for stability and compatibility.

Remove:

Start Menu\Programs\AVG

Download SPTD standalone installer from Disk-Tools.com, and execute the downloaded file as guided below :

• Double click to open it.

Daemon Tools uses a driver called sptd.sys, which is known to cause BSODs with Windows 7. It is recommend you remove this program, and use Windows own in-built features or ImgBurn.

Your Atheros network adapter driver seems to be outdated, and may also be a possible cause, please update it from here: ATHEROS drivers for Microsoft Windows (Atheros?????)

For the graphics driver - I have the Intel 4000HD and Nvidia GT 730M, so the newest drivers form nvidia website shows that I don't have compatible graphics hardware. I'll try to download the newest drivers for Windows 7 x64 from ACER support page "Version 9.18.13.0717" Acer | Download for V3-571G.

I'll remove AVG and daemon tools, SPTD.

As for network adapter - driver version is 10.0.0.221 and it is the newest one (although I have a big problems with stability of wireless driver)

Okay, the latest driver for the graphics card is 6/3/2013.

Have you tried using a wired connection? What is the quality of your ISP (Internet Service Provider)?

Wired connection is not working! For some reason it is not responding to Ethernet cable from modem and router. (disabling wireless is not helping)

ISP for Latvian market is not too good, but overall it is fast and haven't been disconnected for a while!

The weird this is that, after disabling-enabling network device in device manager, it is working without problems until Windows restart.

Wireless signal is at maximum, also for my roommates, and TP-LINK 300mbps Multi-Funciton wireless N router is 5 meters from my laptop (in 1 room, so no walls or obstacles in middle).
The only LAN driver is for Broadcom and 2 Wireless LAN drivers (Broadcom and Atheros). I'll add picture of Hardware Detection Vendor to be sure that I have Broadcom LAN!

Well... "Could it help if I buy Windows 8 and reinstall from my Windows 7 or it can be repaired on my old OS?" same question for me! I have worked on Windows 8 and if it is possible, I would like to wait for Windows BLUE (for the possibility that they will add start button). As for Win8 I wouldn't like to buy it now, because I'm not sure that it will help...

P.s I updated Nvidia drivers and up to this time there was no BSOD, but they were VERY random, so I will leave my laptop working for overnight (if I wont forget) that should cause BSOD!

Okay, leave the thread open for a few days.

With Windows Blue, I think they're completely removing the Start menu (or what is left of it) all together with the desktop.

Sooooo.... I had total 2 BSOD's!

At 1st BSOD I left DrWeb Cure It, on complete - custom scan, on full protection mode (it had never completed!!! nor now nor before on my new laptop)
At 2nd time I left uTorrent running - this is also ALWAYS happening when I am leaving downloading and uploading for some time (most of the time when I am not at home)
Well, on the positive side, at least it is rarely crashing when I am working on my laptop. (rarely, but not all of the time)
P.s I uploaded an image of BSOD viewer as attachment - for some reason imageshack is not working right now.

Now I'll be going to the rural area - so maybe will have some network connection problems!

Is it possible that this is a problem in hardware not in software? Warranty repair/check will be ongoing for some month or two, but I am still considering to do this after doing all of my reports! But the problem is that I will need to delete my Windows and format HDD - because of some confidential documents (can't risk them to be exposed), so they wont be able to check laptop with my system configuration (IF they are doing that, idk)!

It appears that you haven't updated your graphics card driver suggested in my first post, you will want to update to the latest WHQL driver, using the nVIDIA download page - NVIDIA Driver Downloads - Advanced Search

I've managed to find the correct driver for the graphics card specified within your system specifications, see the attachment for the values you will need to enter into the search fields:

Maybe some tutorial how to install newest driver from Nvidia website and still be able to keep Intel HD for low power consumption? Because I can't install those official Nvidia drivers.

P.s I tried to disable Intel HD, but this is set as default VGA - so I was disabling my display.

Just now I uninstalled Daemon Tools (SPTDinst is showing that it is uninstalled) AND replaced AVG (removed by AVG removal tool) with the Microsoft security essentials!

I'll try to leave my laptop running by night - with enabled full virus scan of the DrWeb CureIt!

I was using these two programs for years and had no problems using them on my or my friends PC's, so that's obviously I did not wanted to remove them.

You meant display adapters?

I don't see the issue of incompatible hardware when installing driver, since Windows is recognizing the device as being installed and working correctly :huh:

I would say uninstall the driver for the device completely, and then attempt a clean install of the driver, however, since the driver program is not recognizing the driver then I will ask for others to suggest a alternative or better option.
