BSOD at random intervals, no specific pattern even after clean install

Having disconnected the drive after another BSOD I could actually run the diagnostic. I have attached the report. Any help greatly appreciated!

So the display driver is causing some problems there. It should be changed. But we cannot suggest you to apply the latest WHQL as we know that it is a buggy one. Better you roll it back to an earlier stable one.

Also, a good lot of Ntfs, sys error is found. Do some disc checks.

  1. Update your SSD's Firmware
  2. Reseat the sata and power.
    72974453_zps85c47d93.jpg
  3. Run chkdsk /f/r, following the option two of the tutorial Disk Check
  4. Seatool for dos: SeaTools | Seagate download
Burn it in a blank cd. boot from the CD, click on "Accept", wait for it to finish detecting the drives, then in the upper left corner select "Basic Tests", then select "Long Test" and let it run.
Let us know the results.

Thanks for the help.

I thought I'd just try the graphics driver first and followed the instructions. However, I am now having more crashes than before.

Is the only remaining issue the firmware and seating of the drives, now? View attachment 253196

So it is network related. A search revealed that you are using nForce as the chipset driver, and that includes nvvmf6264.sys as the network controller driver. You need to try to update nForce, as it contains not only the network controller, but also storage controller and a lot of other vital drivers.

I updated the drivers as suggested but it made things much worse to the point where I couldn't access many files. I can now access most but have the COM Surrogate error when opening some and I'm still having BSODs.

Did the drivers update correctly? Please see attached. Thank you. View attachment 253365

There is no new crash dump after your last post. So it is difficult to check.

If there is a continuing problem, you may go for a BIOS update.
Code:
BIOS Version/Date Phoenix Technologies, LTD ASUS P5N-D ACPI BIOS Revision 1401, [COLOR=Red]21/06/2010[/COLOR]
If there is any problem due to a wrong chipset driver download, it will be fixed by doing the BIOS update, hopefully.

Hmm. So no report was made after the last few BSODs?

I updated my BIOS a couple of weeks ago and that, initially, seemed to fix things.

Also, with BSODs occurring so frequently there won't be a prolonged period of time for it to be tested.

Is there an identifiable issue causing the crashes?

Unfortunately the dump is saying nothing but "memory corruption".

As it is going a continuous issue, IMO it is better to have a clean install. That will, at least prevent the possibilities of a software/driver related crash. For a perfect reinstall, follow http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219487-clean-reinstall-factory-oem-windows-7-a.html

If the crashes continue even after that, we need to search for the causes elsewhere.

That's the thing. As the title suggests these crashes are still present after a perfect re-install.
