BSOD at random times, 2 times/day in the last 4 days

This is getting into computer knowledge I do not have...

They'Re plugged in sata e1 and e2, they do show up as Superspeed...
Have no clue what the difference is between Superspeed and the actual RAID thingy...

All I know is that when I initially configured my 2x WDs, I selected RAID 0 in the bios, and went from there... and BAM they amounted to 1000gb, so I figured "mission accomplished"...

As for the Asus AI driver you're talking about, have no clue what it is... What's it for?

For this part, I think I'll need a little bit of walkthrough from you, if you don't mind, this is stuff that's beyond my knowledge...

Both superspeed and Raid are almost the same...

The Drive Xpert utility software, available exclusively from ASUS and based on ASUS-defined design flow and graphics, supports the following RAID modes:

· Ez-Backup (RAID 1)
Provides maximum data security by writing data to both drives so the system can continue to operate even in the face of total drive failure, keeping critical data and personal content accessible and protected.

· SuperSpeed (RAID 0)
Stripes data to two drives for maximum performance (faster boot time and quicker application caching and loading).

· Normal Mode
Allows direct access to both drives.

The last Bug Check Code : 0x00000101 is CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT error which means the processor was deadlocked or non-responsive.

Is the system overclocked ???

Second your windows is not updated to SP1 ... Why ??? Please update it to sp1

Alright, here's the answer to your questions:

I don't know why W7 didn't update to SP1, it looks like the system is trying to apply updates (often) and maybe it's not succeeding, I had not paid close attention to this. I just pressed the "install updates" tray icon thingy... I will check whether it installed SP1 correctly...

Secondly, must I install something in particular for my hard drives, or are they ok? You wrote "SATA E1 and SATA E2 uses the JMicron JMB322 SATA RAID connectors (orange and White) ... which mean if you use this ...you need to install JMicron JMB36X(JMB363.JMB322) Controller Driver"...

So I guess this means I should, but are these drivers that I install thru W7 or thru the Bios ?

Lastly, yes my system is Overclocked, but has proven to be stable in EVERY situation except Assassin's creed revelations... I believe the game is improperly optimized... The FPS is quite unsteady, and my computer should eat that game alive... but: it's improperly optimized. I normally run @ 4ghz, on this system... and I never BSOD (at least not nearly as much as I did with assassin'S creed revelations)

Two things are very badly optimized: Anti-Aliasing and V-Sync... I found a fix for the V-Sync, which got me RID (almost) of all the BSODs I was getting. Since I've done this change, I've found my FPS to be super stable, and no more BSODs... One thing I noticed is the one BSOD I did get was after like 2 hours of gameplay (normally I was getting those after 10 mins in...) So I figured maybe this game is "stressing" my CPU like NO OTHER before (don't ask me why, I've got no clue...)

I do know that games that are meant for Xbox 360s, often are CPU demanding (assassin'S creed, skyrim ...)
but that doesn't explain why I'm experiencing BSODs in this game, when you consider the fact that the other 50 games I played never caused anything like this to happen...

(btw the V-sync fix was to disable it "in-game" and force it via "d3d overrider" ...)

Another problem I have: For some reason, before I clean reinstalled W7, when I was having system instabillity, I remember that my system had little "hick-ups" moments when the PC froze for like 2 seconds before returning to normal. It was very annoying, the very reason why I clean re-installed w7 (I wiped clean the SSD and re-installed w7)... now for some reasons, the hick-ups are here again... I believe it has something to do with my hard drives, and some mistake I did in the past: I remember fooling around with "folder permissions or ownership or whatnot"... I don't know how this happened, but I noticed that even though I'm logged on as an administrator, all my folders say "I don't have permission" when I try to remove the check mark in the "read only" square... Windows 7 lets me delete most of my folders, but there is that weird one in my D drive (superspeed one)

"D:\3b7eb6431b6108c51193c3dd" It's called that way and has a bunch of eula, setupressoures.dll files, and I cannot delete it, says I have to be "system" to be able to do it...

I knew I had messed up my permissions, but I thought a clean re-install would have fixed this. Can you help me with that?

Alright, here's the answer to your questions:

If you have problem with the update through windows update , then download the offline version and try that way....

Yes, you would need to install this through Windows 7

Along with this also install the ATK0110\1010110 driver or the AI booster driver

Also install the Asus Xpert software i am not sure if you can make check the status of the drives with these... but install it and let me know..

You can take ownership of the files and the delete them.... If that doesnt work try.. creating a new user profile and then deleting form there...
