Hey there so I am posting a new thread because ny last one is pretty old and I'm not sure anyone will respond to it. So, I am still having BSOD problems but have changed my hardware to try and fix these problems over time. These have not fixed it so I am back here with a new mini dump file. I replaced my graphics card with a Geforce GTX 550Ti and took out the solid state I had in my computer as well as nuked and booted my 1Tb hard drive and re-installed windows 7. But I am still having issues and would appreciate any help at this point.

Hi Tomi1.

The crash dumps are not showing anything very specific.

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

If it does not show any crash dump, enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

   Information
Why Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump.

How Can we know that DV is enabled:
It will make the system bit of slow, laggy.

   Warning
Before enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.

   Tip

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

So an update on my issue here, every once in a while I get these multicolored squares across my screen, then the screen goes black and the returns to a normal state. I then get the follow error (attached in the picture). But I bought this graphics card only months ago to try and fix previous issues, could this be caused by another component in my computer?

It is the issue with the Graphics environment only, the device (mostly) and the driver (once or twice only). No other thing is associated with this issue.

So apply another driver version. Install the NVIDIA DRIVERS 314.22WHQL only.

  • Uninstall All nvidia items in Control Panel > Programs and features
    • 3D Vision Control Driver
    • 3D Vision Driver
    • Graphics Driver
    • HD Audio Driver
    • PhysX
    • nvidia Update
(Are you using nvidia chipset drivers? If so, dont uninstall anything other than those are listed).
  • Now follow Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling
  • Download 314.22 WHQL. While installing, Select Custom (Advanced) install. In the next page, follow this settings:

Does it say the same thing, even with another version of the display driver??

Let us know.

Wait for at least a week now, before deciding anything. Because such error is very random.
