Hello,

I have been experiencing random BSOD. It can occur a few minutes after logging into Windows or randomly while using the system. This has been happening for a while (a year); however, I am barley getting around to address this. I wouldn't be able to recall any software installed to pinpoint when it exactly started. I have attached the log per instructions.

I'm happy to provide additional information. Thank you.

What antivirus are you using?

Make scans with the following:

Kaspersky TDSSKiller
ESET online scanner:
Perform a Clean boot:
Reduce items at start-up. No software except anti-virus is required plus doing this improves the time for logging into windows:
Microsoft Security Essentials is recommended from a strict BSOD perspective, compatibility & stability compared to other internet security software. Malwarebytes is a great combo to MSE. They are free and lightweight.

Also uninstall your existing Antivirus software before you install MSE.

   Warning
Do not start the free trial of Malware Bytes; remember to deselect that option when prompted.

I do not have an anti-virus installed.

Ran the scans. Tried a clean startup but the error still occurs. System File Checker did not find anything wrong.

It appears to have the same BSOD with the same frequency. I have ran the diagnostic tool again and uploaded the zip.

Uninstall the above with revo uninstaller.

Revo Uninstaller:

Use Revo Uninstaller to uninstall stubborn software.

Please uninstall Daemon Tools. It uses a driver called sptd.sys which is known to cause BSODs in Windows 7.

 SPTD Removal:

  • Uninstall the software using Add/Remove Programs.
  • Reboot the system.
  • Once the program is uninstalled, run sptd.sys uninstaller to remove the driver from your system.
  • DuplexSecure - Downloads
As an alternative, many people recommend the use of Total Mounter or Magic ISO

Temp Monitoring

Check for heating issues using Speccy or HWMonitor.
