BSoD at startup

When I start up my HP DV4-1211TU, it goes into the 'starting windows' phase as usual, but as soon as that's done, there's a BSoD which lasts for a fraction of a second - hence I don't know what Blue Screen it is, and the computer restarts itself. I tried going into Advanced Boot Options to start windows with the 'Last Known Good Configuration' and even in Low-res video mode, but to no avail. I tried going into startup repair or recovery mode, but it loads up, the screen goes black and after a minute or two a cursor appears - and it stays like that till the battery runs out. I've been running the same Windows 7 for months now, it's been working fine.

If you can boot into safe mode (F8)

If sucessful go to c:\windows\minidump (where the DMP file should be located)

Drag it to the desktop and zip it

Safe mode doesn't work

I've already tried that, and the list of files being loaded goes down to the last one, and then it's the same fleeting BSoD

Do you have a win 7 dvd, or is it the repair cd?

It's the repair CD, I'm pretty sure.
