BSOD at startup

I bought a new VAIO around 3 weeks back and everytime I start the laptop I get the BSOD screen. THe only way computer starts is when I forcefully shut down the computer when the computer asks me what to do(start windows normally or repair) Both dont solve the problem. Only after starting laptop again helps.

Can anyone let me know what the problem is?

I guess that this can be system service that cause the BSOD when start up. Can I ask you what antivirus software are you using?

I am using McAfee antivirus. The BSOD problem happenned out of the box. I thought it would go away so I continued. Its still under warranty.

I doubt it is due to Mcafee antivirus that cause your BSOD on start up, that's why I gave you the link about how to do clean boot. Would you be willing to uninstall mcafee for testing
How to uninstall or reinstall supported McAfee consumer products using the McAfee Consumer Products Removal tool (MCPR.exe)
