Hello,

my system has started to BSOD, always with atikmpag.sys as the reported issue. Seems to be quite random, can be browsing, in file explorer, scrolling through a txt file. Variable amount of time after startup, from immediate to an hour or so of activity. System as reported in my profile is up to date. It also locked up without blue screening once today.

I have already removed the driver and booted to safe mode, run the AMD driver cleaner (DDU v17.0.8.6) and downloaded and installed latest drivers without success. I have run the BSOD tool and uploaded the logs, Appreciate any assistance with resolution. I am thinking next step may be to remove and re-seat graphics card? I have this same behavior before on a number of different systems.

I'm away for a little while from tomorrow so won't be able to do much troubleshooting for a few days, but thought I'd get this posted to start things off.

Probably about a year ago. Would it be a heat issue if it BSOD from a cold start?

Is there a recommended utility for monitoring system temperatures?

If the system is full of dust, the temps don't matter at first. Dust prevents normal operation and if the temps get up, then the temps are an issue. The latter can cause physical damage, and both can/do cause BSODs.

You can use HWMonitor, Speccy or similar programs.

Well it's been about 3 weeks now with no BSOD. The only change I made was to remove, clean and reseat the graphics card which seems to have fixed the problem
