Hello,

Let's run some hardware diagnostics; everything looks good from a software standpoint.

Start by running Prime95: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/100352-cpu-stress-test-prime95.html

Run both the Blend and Small FFTs tests.

Also, run Memtest86 overnight: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html

Which Prime95 test was that?

Run the other one, and let it go for a few hours. If any of the workers stop testing before you stop the test, it means there was a failure.

Did any of the workers stop testing before you stopped the test?

It seems this is obviously hardware-related; fortunately your components are still under warranty. Start replacing them with known good ones, if possible. If you can try new RAM, a new CPU, a new motherboard, new PSU, that would help narrow down the cause.

Alternatively, you can try your hardware in another system. Stick your PSU in a known good system, etc, and see how that works out.

Nope, none stopped before I stopped the test.

Can change the RAM and try again, but looks like I'll have to visit the local PC repair store for the rest :-(

Any fixes for the Windows update error? Have checked the forums but none of the suggestions have worked so far (including the update for Windows update).
